This is something that is bothering me too much these days. With gap year increasing which was initially 3 years when I was in graduation. After completion of Graduation in 2022 things again turned to shit. I was counting on getting admission in the prestigious Indian Statistical Institute. But all plans got ruined when I went for interview and was unable to answer some basic questions based on L’Hopital’s Rule. and some other basic statistics questions.

So what will you do when you have no backup plan?

Just scrape up new plan with what you have left.

But how? Are you prepared to exhaust your body and mind?

Plans in which you have to succeed at every step is not a robust plan.

Not being consistent has been my Achilles’ heel. Being at home and isolated from friends and colleagues, my motivation to study wasn’t so great and this resulted in my study regressing that reflected in not being selected in written test for ISI, JAM and ISS.

Things one feels in three hour of examination when you know that questions easy and with slight effort you would have done well; I don’t want to feel that again. To recover from this I have to reinvent myself. And for that my To do list are as follows

  • Have a clear goal for everyday.

  • Make notes everyday.(I haven’t made notes after +2. And even then teacher used to dictate what to write.)

  •  Practice sufficient question to rebuild the confidence.

I will be updating my progress here. Stay tuned.

Update I got selected for Masters in Economic Science at IITK. I will be joining it this by July 23rd 2023.
